I paid $1000 to get a new garage floor placed. It was unsatisfactory at best for which I contribute to my own lack of foresight as the friend of the family was inexperienced. Swallowing this financial loss, I set about immediately to replace the garage flooring. Going to Angie’s List, I picked out Garage Doctors, Inc.. Michael Blackshaw (President) of Garage Doctors, Inc instructed me on what would be needed, a price, and when he would be available to remove the old flooring and place the new garage flooring. True to his word, Michael was on time, he removed the old flooring, and he placed an epoxy garage flooring that was very nice. I was very pleased with his workmanship and that he left the place clean. I highly recommend him and would use Garage Doctors, Inc. myself for future projects.

Mike is very responsive via email and we quickly set up time for an estimate. I had just closed on a house and wanted to get estimates for garage flooring before a bunch of stuff had to go in there. Everything on the garage floor has to be removed. Owner, Mike, and helper, Zack, arrived on time as scheduled every morning for 3 days in a row. The floor is sanded and cracks filled before epoxy and flakes are applied. They’re professional and skilled and the finished floor is beautiful. My garage floor was cracked, oil stained, paint stained and just plain dirty ugly. You will be pleased with the way it looks when Mike is finished. Let it dry a few days before driving on it.

Even though our house is a new build the garage floor was marred by dirt from the concrete laying machine. Garage Doctors ground down the surface primed it and put down an aggregate. This sat overnight before they removed the excess and applied the clear coat. The whole job went very well. The finished floor looks fantastic and the best part was that I did not have to be there while they did the noisy grinding part of the job. They helped me too by putting my hurricane shutters outside as I could not lift them out of the retainer. The floor is also non skid – very nice!!

Our garage floor looks fabulous! Mike was highly recommended to us by a garage cabinet installer who had seen his work, and we were not disappointed. Everything went as planned, and there were no glitches. We opted for an epoxy floor plus two coats of polyaspartic which is more expensive, but since we had chosen gray and our garage faces south, felt it would be worth it in the long run. Each coat needs a day to dry in between applications, so for us it was a three day process. But, what a difference! We are very happy with the quality of Mike’s work and that we chose this kind of floor.

There was a very high reading of dampness so after grinding off the old paint – time was given to allow the concrete to dry. Michael drew on his experience to determine the best possible coatings in our situation. This required a longer time period and extra effort on their part to get the job done well.
